About Us
Our History
Captain Joyce learned to scuba dive in 1987 while working at the Land O’ Lakes Scuba Center. While there she worked her way up to become a PADI MSDT Instructor.
Along the way, the years of crewing gave her the incentive to get her 100 Ton Master Captain’s License and then bought her first boat.
She later founded Narcosis Scuba Center on June 15th, 1996 and began her own Charter Boat Service. She researched for months beforehand to find a special boat and a store name that no one else had. (before the internet).
Narcosis Scuba Center is also named after Capt. Joyce’s first boat, The Narcosis.
About Our Location
Narcosis Scuba Center is located at 528 East Tarpon Avenue, Tarpon Springs, Florida. Our unique building is actually a historic building dating back to the early 1900's. Fully renovated when Narcosis moved from our old location.
Our location offers convenient access to the Sponge Docks, the Downtown Historic District of Tarpon Springs and US Highway 19, North.
Narcosis Scuba Center is a family owned, full service dive shop offering the very best customer service, classes, the latest gear and plenty of parking.
Our New Home
More merchandise, a dedicated classroom and a drive-up fill station are just a few of the amenities you will find at our new location. Still conveniently located in the heart of historic Tarpons Springs, we are just a few short blocks from the sponge docks and our 32′ Sportcraft dive boat, the Narcosis. We also have lots of FREE parking!
