About

Before we go on our journey together, we have a few requirements that we ask for you to follow for your safety:

We want to make sure you are not flying within 24 hours after you dive.

Water and snacks (Fresh fruit, cookies, and some other items) are provided on the boat. If you would like to bring your own snacks or drinks, you are more than welcome to share our cooler space! You can bring alcohol, but we ask that no one starts drinking until after the last diver on the last dive surfaces.

Prohibited Items:

  • Bananas (old superstition).
  • GPS Devices - We take pride in showing our customers the best little known dive sites that are only used by our team. .

Gulf of Mexico Diving - A Small Sample of our Gulf Sites

The Gulf of Mexico is comprised of an ancient riverbed. Imagine riverbanks underwater that range from 2-8’ with overhangs and plenty of hiding holes. The area exhibits a gradual increase in depth, requiring several miles to reach waters between 30 and 40 feet deep.  The ledges are covered in coral heads, and they offer great protection for fish and are quite abundant.

Last Chance Ledge- Is in 19-21’ of water. A ledge named for spearfishing, it’s our last chance to get grouper before we head back to the dock.

Veterans Reef- Is in 32-37’ of water. Three large steel-hulled barges (each over 100 feet long, 300 tons of native Florida limestone, and prefabricated fish-attracting devices mark this reef. Many species have already made this reef their home. In 2001, the reef construction crew placed 2 plaques on one of the pyramid structures. These plaques found approximately 50’ from the center buoy commemorate all veterans. There are usually at least 1 Goliath Grouper and a school of Baitfish. The Goliath Grouper hides in the bottom of the wrecks. There is a foot long Batfish found around the outside of the wreck usually in the sand

Circle of Heroes- In 2019 12 new commemorative veteran statues were lowered down near Veterans Reef forming the new Circle of Heroes. They are hoping to put 13 more down and an obelisk in the center to complete the memorial soon.

Army Tanks- Are in 34-38’ of water. These Vietnam era M-60 tanks placed along the coast for artificial reefs. We have found Lobster, Grouper, Spadefish, Flounder, Mangos and more on these tanks.

Turtle Ledge- Is in 38-40’ of water. A very healthy ledge with lots of plants and a wide variety of fish. Named for the turtles that generally live under the big overhang.

Ice Cream Cone Ledge- Is in 39-43’ of water. It’s named for a rock that is sitting off the ledge that looks like an upright ice cream cone. Lots of plants and crevasses for fish to hide in and we usually see Lobster and schools of Snapper.

Twin Ledge- Is in 39-43’ of water. This is two ledges within swimming distance from each other. One is a nice size ledge with lots of tropical fish, schools of Baitfish, Grouper and Hogfish. The other ledge is smaller and its where the fish flee to when the divers first go down.

Speargun Ledge- Is in 37-45’ of water. This ledge was named after an AB Biller 48 LOST Speargun that has yet to be found. This is a very healthy ledge teaming with plant life and fish.

Broken-Down Ledge- Is in 41-45’ of water. It’s a collapsed ledge with many cracks and crevasses. This ledge is very healthy, full of plant life, soft corals and many types of fish.

Hogfish Ledge- Is in 42-47’ of water. This ledge is another that is very easy to navigate since it runs north and south. It’s a very pretty and healthy ledge with lots of places for the fish to hide and you will usually find an abundance of Hogfish, hence the name.

Masthead Ledge- Is in 46-50’ of water. It’s a very long ledge with lots of growth and marine life. It is very easy to navigate and a fun comfortable dive site.

Table Rock- Is in 48-52’ of water. This ledge is exactly what it sounds like. A large Table of rocks jutting up through the sand. You can swim around it without a compass with one tank. There are usually turtles and lots of fish.

Hog Ledge- Is in 49-54’ of water. It’s named for the big hogfish that have been seen there. It’s a very healthy ledge with about 5ft of break.

The Crane- Is in 52-56’ of water. A large crane that fell overboard in a storm and you will find the boom lying next to the house. You’ll normally see Amberjacks and larger fish. Great place for photos.

Harvey’s Ledge- Is in 53-56’ of water. This ledge features 6’ breaks, many Hogfish and Grouper. This is a great site to take pictures.

Dolphin Ledge- Is in 57-62’ of water. Its an ‘L’ shaped ridge that doesn’t have much plant life but many Dolphins have been spotted here.
