Ryan Loya
Ryan Loya is a decorated Marine Corps veteran and lifelong waterman. A former Assaultman and Master Breacher, Ryan served four combat deployments and earned the Purple Heart and Navy–Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat “V.” His military career, which included service as a Drill Instructor and over a year spent at sea, established the discipline and expertise for his current work in maritime operations and exploration.
Ryan is the co-founder of Meritorious, a veteran professional network, Meritorious Foundation providing professional development and transition assistance, Meritorious Charters, and CEO of ClearPoint Aero, a robotics-as-a-service company specializing in subsea and aerial data.
Credentials & Expertise
- Certifications: USCG / SLC-p Instructor Licensed Captain, SSI Dive Master, Marine Corps Water Survival Instructor (MCWSI), FAA-Certified Drone Pilot.
- Diving Experience: Extensive background in wreck, night, high water rescues, and navigational diving across the Florida Keys, and Pacific.
- Veteran Advocacy: Author of the 2018 Warrior Transition Act and co-founder of Irreverent Warriors (Silkies Hikes).
